When I look in the mirror
The only reflection I see
Is a shell of a woman
A woman that used to be
Who is this now
The one staring back at me
Her face seems familiar
But she is not who she used to be
Where is she hiding
Or is she simply waiting to break free
This woman now staring back at me
She’s covered in scars
Scars no one else can see
She is breathing
But still gasping for air
She is living
Yet allows time to pass her by
This woman that used to be
Who is this now
This stranger staring back at me
The only reflection I see
Is a shell of a woman
The woman I used to be
